St. Patrick's Intermediate May 15 to 19

SPI Wins Big at Chess Tournament
Congratulations to our Chess Team who participated in the Board-wide chess tournament on Wednesday. The Shamrocks did an outstanding job, finishing third in overall team standings. A special congratulations goes to Jamie Quinlan who won the individual championship trophy as best player of the tournament with an undefeated record of 11 matches. Way to go, SPI!

Waterloo University Math Contest
Congratulations to our top three Waterloo University Math competitors. In grade 7, Valerie Stoica came in first place with Michael Krivchitch and Griffin Brown placing second and third respectively. In grade 8, Jose Edurardo Foncesca came in first with Brianna Buttera and Gabriella Watkins placing second and third respectively. It was a very tough test so all participants should be commended for coming out and trying.

Special Olympics Swim Meet
Students from St. Pat's Intermediate took part on Thursday in the Special Olympics swim meet at the Nepean Sportsplex. Congratulations to Nico Nino who swam in two events and finished first in both! St. Pat's is very proud of all competitors who competed in this important event.

Immunizations
Immunizations continue this week on Wednesday and Thursday. This is the last set of immunizations for this school year...HepB for grade 7 students and HPV for grade 8 girls.

PD Day
A reminder that this Friday, May 19 is a PD Day, meaning that there is no school for students on this day.

Victoria Day
A reminder that Monday, May 22 is Victoria Day. There is no school for students on this day.
